"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart."
- Elizabeth Andrew
A cadre of dedicated volunteers is what makes the CHMS Library Media Center thrive. Checking books in/out, shelving books and helping students are a few of our daily activities. Volunteers also help with special projects; like laminating, repairing books, making displays or taking care of the school’s technology.
Volunteering in the Library is easy. All talents and skill levels are welcome. Training is provided…actually required for everyone. There is no minimum time requirement (stop by for 15 minutes and we will give you a job). There are no committees and nothing to take home except our heartfelt “Thanks”.
Mrs. Price and Mrs. Keifer greatly appreciate the many hands that help the Library be a “happening” place. We could not serve 1750+ students and our faculty without our volunteers. And regardless of what they might say to you, we know your middle-schoolers are really happy and proud to see you here!
Please email Mrs. Price (kelly1.price @cms.k12.nc.us) to find out more. Or just stop by to see all the action!
